This qualification is designed to support the skills and knowledge developed in International Vocational Qualifications. It reflects the present day importance of health and safety in the workplace. Involving about 60 guided learning hours, it provides a broad introduction to the theory and practical side of health and safety for any person in a work environment. Areas of the syllabus include understanding own responsibilities for health and safety, practising health and safety in the workplace, and keeping procedures under review.
