To be eligible for one of the awards the candidate must:

• Hold the relevant City & Guilds part two and part three certificates
• be 21 years old or over
• submit a fully completed application form and copies of his / her certificate
• forward payment of £31 made payable to City & Guilds
• please note the Full Technological Certificate is only available in the subjects listed on this form.

Certificates required

Electrical / Electrical Engineering Technicians

• The part two Electrical Engineering Technicians / Practice certificate or the part two Electrical Technicians certificate
• The part three Electrical Engineering Technicians certificate

Mechanical Engineering Technicians

• The part two Mechanical Engineering Technicians certificate.
• The part three Mechanical Engineering Technicians certificate

Industrial Measurement and Control Technicians

• The part two Industrial Measurement and Control Technicians certificate
• The part three Industrial Measurement and Control Technicians certificate

Motor Vehicle Technicians

• The part two Motor Vehicle Technicians certificate or the Motor Vehicle Technicians work (old scheme)
• The part three Vehicle Technicians certificate

Telecommunications Technicians

• Part I: The four T1 modules, the three T2 modules and one T2 option module.
• Part II: The three T3 modules and one T3 option module, the three T4 modules and one T4 option module.
• Part III: (Three subjects needed)
  • Telecommunication principles T5
  • Mathematics T5 option or Organisation and planning T5 option
  • Plus One other T5 option mode

Note: Alternatively, you can submit photocopies of the old scheme modular part I and part II certificate
(May-June 1984 to June 1990), provided that you have met the full certification requirement stated. At the
part II (T5) level, the old scheme regulations required possession of four modular certificates. Partial
certification success at part III old schemes can be combined with success in the present part III
assessments as shown in the table attached.
