'My career's been in planning for the last 20 years - I've worked for all that time in the administration section of Wrexham County Borough Council's Planning Department. I started as a clerk and in 2002 I was appointed as Administration Manager, overseeing a team of 10. It was when I was taking the ILM Diploma for Managers that I decided to become an ILM member. I get a lot from it - ILM's magazines and events are enabling me to become even more effective in my role. Now I'm planning to develop my skills over the next 20 years.'
