Results will be issued within 27 working days for multiple choice examinations and 42 working days for examiner marked examinations.

Where an award has a combination of different types of assessment (written paper, multiple choice, results submission), all results will be issued at the same time.

Results for awards which exclusively use ‘results submission’ (Form S or Walled Garden entry) are normally processed within seven days of submission to City & Guilds. Where funding is dependent on the receipt of a certificate, however, centres should allow an additional two weeks to cover any queries or problems which may arise.

To help meet the above deadlines, centres are advised to:

  • return the MA for each multiple choice examination to City & Guilds within one working day of the examination
  • send completed answer books to the examiner within one working day of the examination
  • send marked answer books for centre devised examinations to the assessor within ten days of the examination

Requests for unscheduled examinations require six months notice. Centre set question papers must be dated within the processing period for which entries are notified on Form S. Practical examinations must be taken during the month of entry.
