The Level 2 NVQ in Floristry is designed for people who wish to work within the floristry industry. The qualification has been accredited with the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority at a Level 2 and therefore is eligible for public funding.

To achieve certification in this qualification candidates need to complete ten mandatory units plus two optional units form the list below.

Mandatory

·         Maintain the condition and appearnace of plants to optimise their sales value

·         Monitor the quality of cut materials

·         Construct funeral designs

·         Construct wedding designs in mediums

·         Construct arrangements

·         Assemble tied floristry designs

·         Assemble wired floristry designs

·         Monitor and maintain health and safety

·         Develop personal performance and maintain working relationships

·         Process payments for purchases

Optional

·         Display stock to promote sales to customers

·         Help customers to choose products

·         Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation

·         Deliver reliable customer service

·         Contribute to developing and maintaining positivie caller relationships
