This award assesses the skills central to sawmilling. It is made up of a number of mandatory and optional units covering areas ranging from sorting, building and packaging sawn timber and timber products, to drying timber and maintaining cutting equipment. Successful learners could progress to the NVQ in Forestry, Agriculture and Treework (0304).
