This qualification is intended for those who want to gain the practical skills and knowledge in delivering & installing consumer electronics and electrical products to equip them for entry into the consumer electronics and electrical products industry or for those working within the industry who want to update their skill set.

You will cover essential skills like safety, teamwork and building good customer relations. You will also show your ability in working with a particular kind of equipment, such as domestic appliances consumable white goods as well as fault diagnosis
This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the installation and servicing of electrical and electronic appliances. or for learners wishing to forge a career within the electronics industry. There are a number of specialisms within the qualification for learners to choose from.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

The qualification covers a range of essential topics these include  including: Consumer/commercial electronics
Domestic appliance servicing.
Fault diagnosis and repair

To be successful, candidates will need to demonstrate a particular set of skills. You will work with your centre to review your current skills and develop a work plan to gain the best out of you. Candidates will be assessed via on-line multiple choice tests, practical assignments and will be asked to produce some form of portfolio of evidence.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

Achieving this qualification can help you progress in a number of job roles, including:

•Domestic appliances service technician
•Electronics engineer
•Consumer electronics technician
This qualification can also be taken as part of an apprenticeship framework.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications, you need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially. You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.
