Global Citizenship gives learners the opportunity to develop critical thinking about complex global issues. This qualification is about: asking questions and developing critical thinking skills, equipping learners with knowledge, skills and values to participate as active citizens, acknowledging the complexity of global issues, understanding how we relate to the environment and to each other.
This qualification is for anyone who wants to develop their reasoning and critical thinking skills and learn more about global issues, citizenship and the environment. The scope of Global Citizenship is wider than a single scheme of work or subject. It is relevant to all areas of work.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You will learn more about the global community and environmental issues, and develop critical thinking and campaigning skills.
You will learn in the classroom and complete written exams and practical assignments for assessment.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
This level will give a learner a broad-based understanding of the global community and environmental issues, and enhance understanding of issues that have global influence.

Level 3
This level is ideal for learners who wish to expand their knowledge of the key concepts of global dimensions and illustrate this through a campaign.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

This qualification could help you get ahead in a career within an NGO, the hospitality industry, travel and tourism and other industries.
Learners can also go on to gain a City & Guilds qualification in International Relations or in Tourism and Hospitality.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.
You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.
