These qualifications cover all aspects of property sale, letting and management including relevant legislation, market appraisal, viewing and sales negotiation. They also form part of the Advanced and Intermediate Apprenticeship in Property Services (Sale of Residential Property) and Advanced and Intermediate Apprenticeship in Property Services (Residential Property Letting and Management).
Anyone working in the property sector in property management or development or as an estate agent.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You can choose the qualification that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed such as:

  • Market appraisals of property
  • Handing over new properties
  • Legislation, guidelines and codes of practice.

You will learn on the job in the work environment.

Assessment will take place in the workplace and will include a portfolio of evidence to meet the criteria of the qualification.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You are working in the property management and sales sector in a customer service and administration orientated role.

Level 3
You are working in the property management and sales sector and have moved from customer service/administration to dealing with viewing, valuing and marketing properties, and negotiating price with potential buyers and the seller.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

These qualifications can help you to progress in a wide range of roles in the property sector including:

  • Estate agent jobs
  • Investment and Property development.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Level 2

Level 2 is ideal if you are working in the property management and sales sector in a customer service and administration orientated role.

There are two qualifications available at this level:

  • Level 2 Certificate in Property (Residential Property Letting and Management)
  • Level 2 Certificate in Property (Sale of Residential Property).

These comprise mandatory and optional units including:

  • health and safety at the workplace
  • professional conduct
  • security of individuals and property
  • marketing materials for property
  • legislation, guidelines and codes of practice and statuary information in residential sales
  • appraisals for properties
  • handover of new properties.
