This qualification is for those who are new to housing and who want to gain an understanding of the issues involved in housing.  It is also suitable for those already working within housing and who want to gain a qualification which reflects their skills and abilities.
This qualification is aimed at people who want a wider understanding of housing and for those already working within housing organisations.  It also forms part of the Intermediate Apprenticeship in Housing (England).

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

This qualification covers a variety of key areas in housing including
  • Housing provision and housing organisations
  • Customer care in the housing context
  • Accessible and affordable housing
  • Housing policy and affordable housing
  • You will learn at college and you will be assessed by a mixture of multiple choice examinations and assignments.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

Once you have completed this qualifications you can progress on to either the Level 2 or 3 Certificate/Diploma in Housing

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

You will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

There are no eligibility requirements.

Level 2

Level 2 is suitable if you are new to or working in a housing environment.  You will be working under supervision.
