The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business Support and Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Coordinating Business Support are aimed at learners that are looking to start a career in a business support role, or people who want to improve their business and IT knowledge and skills and progress to further learning. Learners could progress into employment, onto an apprenticeship or further studies.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Learners interested in the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Business Support (360) will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks. 

This qualification covers the core skills and activities that a junior administrator would undertake in a business support role. Learners will gain an understanding of key processes such as organising travel and business events, involved with financial transactions and maintaining office supplies, IT and appreciation of digital marketing.

The qualification has been organised into four strands, each relating to how to support a business achieve its aims:
  • Supporting business improvement
  • Supporting business communication
  • Supporting business efficiency
  • Supporting business profiles
This practical based training is ideal preparation for gaining employment in business support roles or further specialist study.

Learners interested in the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Coordinating Business Support (540) will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.

Learners will develop an understanding of business systems and the skills needed to coordinate business support activities including transferable skills such as communication, project management and IT. Learners would also gain an understanding of key functional areas of business, including marketing, finance, human resources together with the support services they need to be effective.
