This qualification has been developed to support learners wishing to gain the knowledge and skills required to support a business and its services. Ensuring learners are aware of the employer rights and responsibilities and health and safety whilst also being able to choose a pathway to support their more specialist knowledge and skills in either business administration, customer service or retail. There are also employability options to support CV writing to interview skills to help the learner gain employment.
This qualification is aimed at learners wanting to work within a business support role where they may specialise in one key area or where their role requires skills that fall across more than one area to support the business.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

The qualification covers key skills needed in business administration, customer service and retail. Each specialist pathway also allows you to choose units from one of the other pathways to ensure you are gaining the mix of skills modern business require. There are also units to be taken that will cover employability skills to help you prepare for interviews and gaining employment.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

This qualification can help you gain work within any business that requires the skills and knowledge within administration, customer service and retail. You can progress onto a Level 2 qualification specialising in one of the 3 areas to gain a more in depth understanding.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

This qualification can be delivered in the workplace or in a centre. There is a mixture of assessment to keep the learners engaged from portfolio of assessment to multiple choice online tests.

Level 1

You want to work in administrative, customer service or retail role, or you've just started working in these areas. You'd like a solid base of knowledge and skills to help you succeed as an administrative assistant, receptionist or another related role.
