The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Medical Administrative Support and Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Medical Administration (450) is aimed at learners that are looking to start a career in the medical sector.

This has been developed in association with AMSPAR (The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists)
The Level 2 and 3 suite of Technical qualifications are aimed at learners aged 16 – 18; 19+.

These technical qualifications can also form part of the City & Guilds TechBac – an exciting new framework for learning designed to give 14 - 19 year olds the technical and professional skills needed to progress from FE onto an apprenticeship, into university or into the modern jobs market.

To ensure learners develop the wider workplace skills required by employers, TechBac goes above and beyond the technical qualification. It combines an accredited project qualification, practical work experience and critical skills development, brought to life via the TechBac Skills Zone, an innovative online learning hub giving learners the opportunity to practice and develop their skills anytime, anywhere.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Learners interested in the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Medical Administrative Support will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.

Learners interested in the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Medical Administration (450) will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.

• medical administration and communication
• medical principles for the administrator
• medical word processing and audio transcription
• legal aspects of medical administration.
