These qualifications are ideal for anyone starting out or progressing in a business skills role. They can also help you to specialise in a particular area within business, such as finance or IT.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

These flexible business qualifications cover all the essential business skills as well as offering a range of optional units including:

  • Customer service
  • Finance
  • Team leading.

You will learn on the job in the work environment.

Assessment will also take place in the workplace and will include a portfolio of evidence to meet the criteria of the qualification. Evidence may include professional discussion, e-observation, IT assignments or producing work materials such as a presentation.

Which Level is right for me?

Level 1
This level is ideal for new starters. It focuses on everyday administrative and customer service tasks, such as filing and answering the telephone and communicating effectively.

Level 2
Ideal for you if you are moving up the career ladder or looking to develop some specialist skills. It focuses on greater professional responsibility, such as supporting meetings, solving problems and effective working in the business environment.

Level 3
You're progressing in your career and have significant knowledge and experience. At this level you are required to demonstrate greater autonomy in completing tasks, organising activities and contributing to decision making.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

In order to offer these Business Skills qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Level 2
