Legal Secretaries Technical Qualifications (7857)

The Level 2 Technical Certificate for Legal Support Staff  and Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate for Legal Secretaries (360) is aimed at learners that are looking to start a career in the legal sector. Learners on the level 2 qualification could use this as progression onto an Apprenticeship or the Level 3. 
 
It will give you an introduction to working in the legal sector, and is recognised by The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and the industry as a good start to a career as a legal secretary or legal administrator.

The Level 2 and 3 suite of Technical qualifications are aimed at learners aged 16 – 18; 19+.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Learners interested in the Level 2 Technical Certificate for Legal Support Staff  will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.

Compulsory topics are:

  • Legal text processing
  • Legal audio processing
  • Administration in the legal environment
  • Proofreading in the legal environment
  • The legal environment

This qualification has six optional units covering spread sheets and presentations, and a number of units in Law.

Learners interested in the Level 3 Advanced Technical Certificate for Legal Secretaries (360) will study theoretical aspects of the subject and apply them to practical tasks.

  • working with others in the legal environment
  • proof-reading in the legal environment
  • the legal environment.
