This qualification allows candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in Maintenance Operations.

You have some knowledge and basic skills in carrying out building maintenance work - probably from a role where you work under supervision. You want recognition for your skills, giving you the chance to take on more responsibility.

We have produced sample tests to enable tutors and learners to experience the look and feel of e-volve prior to sitting the test, and also experience the type and style of question that will be asked in the test.

SCQF 5

Level 5 – It is for candidates that work or wish to work in a variety of roles that require knowledge of the various construction trades.

It covers small-scale repairs in various trades in the construction sector, for the following trades:

  • Building repairs (brickwork)
  • Painting and decorating repairs
  • Plastering repairs
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Carpentry repairs
