What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You can choose the qualification that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed such as:

Quality management of client care
Managing staff and resources, including Sales, PR and Marketing
Developing and promoting your business
Expanding and enhancing your technical skills in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy and Media Make-up
Assessment and quality assurance within a training role.

You will learn on the job in the work environment.

Level 4
This qualification is ideal for experienced and qualified hair and beauty professionals who work unsupervised, possibly in a supervisory or managerial role, and have a high level of relevant knowledge and skills.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

These qualifications can help you to progress in a wide range of roles within the hair and beauty sector including:

Salon Owner/Manager
Training Provider.

You can also progress on to ILM Management qualifications.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Learners must have one of the following qualifications:

Level 3 S/NVQ in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy or equivalent
Level 3 Apprenticeship in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy
a level of expertise commensurate with a Level 3 in the National Qualifications Framework which has been acquired through work experience and can be demonstrated through the APL procedure and/or appropriate certification.

All learners should also be in work or have access to work experience to complete these qualifications.
