The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Supervision of Food & Beverage Services (450)  qualification is for learners is for  if you are over 16 and wish to gain employment in the hospitality sector as a Food & Beverage Supervisor.

The Level 2 Technical Certificate in Food & Beverage Service (450) is aimed at learners that are looking to start a career in the hospitality and catering industry.  Learners could progress into employment, onto an Apprenticeship, or further their studies by taking other qualifications at Level 3.

These technical qualifications can also form part of the City & Guilds TechBac – an exciting new framework for learning designed to give 14 - 19 year olds the technical and professional skills needed to progress from FE onto an apprenticeship, into university or into the modern jobs market.

To ensure learners develop the wider workplace skills required by employers, TechBac goes above and beyond the technical qualification. What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

Level 2

By undertaking the Level 2 Technical Certificate in Food & Beverage Service you will cover skills and techniques required to deliver food and beverage service to guests/customers. You will develop both the hard and soft skills that will allow you to work in a variety of establishments and settings including hotels, restaurants, and specialist events catering.

The mandatory content of this qualification includes:

• Food and beverage product knowledge
• Food and beverage business finance

What Careers Can This Lead To?

What Careers Can This Lead To?

The Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Supervision of Food & Beverage Services (450) will prepare you for employment in a variety of establishments, from a café bistro or pub to a Michelin starred restaurant. You may also want to develop your supervisory skills even further by following an apprenticeship programme or taking a hospitality degree or other higher education qualification.

Centres and providers work with local employers who will contribute to the knowledge and delivery of training. Employers will provide demonstrations and talks on the industry and where possible work placements will be encouraged to develop learners’ skills in this area.
