Get recognition for your skills in working on beer, soda or other beverage dispensers with the Certificate or Diploma in Drinks Dispense Systems.

At Level 2 you'll show you're able to install, maintain and remove drinks dispense equipment and systems. Level 3 looks at your ability to perform complex installations and removals, as well as your skills in advising customers or supervising others.
The Certificate and Diploma in Drinks Dispense Systems are for those who work for brewers or specialist drinks dispense operators. You don't need any prior qualifications.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Depending on which level you take, you'll cover areas such as:

  • Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure working environment
  • Install drinks dispense equipment and systems
  • Remove drinks dispense equipment and systems
  • Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your organisation
  • Contribute to effective teamwork
  • Carry out complex installations, removals and repairs of drinks dispense systems
  • Audit and report on product quality.

For these qualifications you need to show you've got a particular set of skills. You usually work with your training provider to review your current skills and find the best way to gain new ones - perhaps by trying new things at work, or by studying.

You'll be assessed at work or in a simulated workplace. For each unit your assessor watches and asks questions as you perform a task, or looks at a portfolio of work that you've built as formal evidence of your learning. Then they confirm you've got the skills to do the job well.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You work in a job where you're responsible for planning, installing and maintaining drinks dispense systems. You'd like to get recognition for your skills, perhaps in preparation for a move into a supervisory role.

Level 3
You've worked with drinks dispense systems for some time - you have plenty of experience, and your work might involve supervising others or managing resources.

To deliver these qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.

Level 3

Is this level right for me?

You've worked with drinks dispense systems for some time - you have plenty of experience, and your work might involve supervising others or managing resources.

You will complete 2 core units:

  • Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment
  • Provide guidance on drinks dispense systems, equipment and products.

You also choose 13 credits' worth of optional units from the following group:

  • Plan and agree a drinks dispense system to meet customer requirements
  • Supervise the installation, removal, repair and maintenance of drinks dispense systems
  • Carry out complex installations, removals and repairs of drinks dispense systems
  • Audit and report on product quality.

You also will complete an additional 14 credits' worth of optional units. You can choose from the above group or the following group:

  • Provide leadership for your team
  • Contribute to the control of resources
  • Monitor and solve customer service problems
  • Manage the environmental impact of your work.
