These knowledge-based qualifications form part of the Apprenticeship Framework for Environmental Conservation, Equine and Floristry and the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework for Environmental Conservation, Equine, Forestry and Floristry. They are also ideal for professional development and preparing you for further learning in the land-based sector.
These qualifications are ideal for those completing an Environmental Conservation, Equine and Floristry Apprenticeship or an Environmental Conservation, Equine, Forestry and Floristry Advanced Apprenticeship, or for those who are working, or looking to work, in a range of land-based roles.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You can choose the qualification that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed. At Level 2, this includes:

  • principles of business within the environmental and land-based sector
  • structure of the industry within the land-based sector and principal organisations within it
  • regulations and legislation
  • common business operations and administrative tasks
  • the business, the role and responsibilities of those employed in the land-based sector.

At Level 3, this includes:

  • business and resource requirements
  • business operations
  • the business plan.

You will learn in the classroom and complete assignments for assessment.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You are just starting out in your career and may be completing an Equine or Environmental Conservation or Floristry Apprenticeship.

Level 3
You have some experience in and knowledge of the land-based sector and are looking to move into a management role. You may be completing an Equine, Environmental Conservation, Forestry or Floristry Advanced Apprenticeship.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

    What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

    To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors to carry out training and assessment. You can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

    You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

    Level 2

    Level 2 is ideal if you are just starting out in your career and may be completing an Equine, Floristry or Environmental Conservation Apprenticeship.
