These knowledge based qualifications, in partnership with the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA), are aimed at organisations that wish to provide environmental awareness across their organisation or for individuals who wish to learn more about sustainability skills.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

The qualifications at Level 2 are ideal for those who wish to raise their environmental awareness and sustainability skills. You will learn in the classroom and complete a multiple choice test for the Level 2.

The Level 4 is aimed at those implementing and managing sustainability initiatives and complete a short answer paper and a report.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

These qualifications provide an introduction to environmental management and sustainability.

Learners can also choose to take the following related qualifications : 
  • City & Guilds Level 2 Award in the Principles of Carbon Management (0674)
  • Resource Efficiency (7530) 
  • ILM Awards, Certificates and Diplomas in Leadership and Management www.i-l-m.com

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver the course you will need qualified assessors to carry out the training and assessment. In addition the trainers will be required to demonstrate membership of IEMA or equivalent. You can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

The course is classroom based so no specific facilities are required. You can use your own in house trainers or we can supply an occupationally competent trainer to support delivery (See handbook for more details).

The Level 2 is a 1 day course including a Multiple Choice test and the Level 4 is a 2 day course plus a short answer paper and a report. 

The Level 6 is approximately 6 hours; with no assessment (The Level 6 is not a qualification).
