What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You can choose the qualification that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed such as:

  • monitoring vehicle movements
  • routing and scheduling of loads
  • building and managing teams.

You will learn in the work environment.

Assessment will also take place in the workplace and will include a portfolio of evidence to meet the criteria of the qualification.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You will work in a traffic office as a clerk or assistant with duties such as issuing and collecting vehicle keys and routes, monitoring route scheduling and fuel usage and conducting post journey reports and checks.

Level 3
You are working in a traffic office and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring work meets the required standard. You may be looking to progress to frontline management.

This qualification could help you to move into a supervisory or management role.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors. You can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You'll also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

There are no eligibility requirements.

Level 2

This level will suit you if you work in a traffic office as a clerk or assistant with duties such as issuing and collecting vehicle keys and routes, monitoring route scheduling and fuel usage and conducting post-journey reports and checks.

To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Traffic Office (3438-05), learners must complete all 22 credits from the mandatory units. Units include:

  • Identify suitable collection or delivery points
  • Routing and scheduling of loads
  • Monitor vehicle movements
  • Contribute to the provision of customer service in logistics operations.
