General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

This qualification will allow you to demonstrate the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed, such as:

  • regulations and health and safety requirements
  • effective team-working
  • problem-solving
  • continuous improvement techniques.

You will learn in a classroom environment. Assessment will consist of a mixture of practical assignments and externally set internally marked short-answer questions.

Level 2

You work, or want to work, in a business improvement environment, and may already have some knowledge and basic skills in the industry. You want to increase your skills and knowledge of the processes involved to improve your career or use this as part of an apprenticeship.

This qualification can lead to supervisory or management job roles involved in Business Improvement or Continuous Improvement.

Learners might also choose to take the following related qualification:

  • City & Guilds Level 2 and 3 NVQ Diplomas in Business Improvement Techniques.
What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver the qualification you will need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Level 2

This level is ideal if you work or want to work in a business improvement environment.  You may already have some knowledge and basic skills in the industry, and you want to increase your skills and knowledge to improve your career, or as part of an apprenticeship.

This qualification comprises four mandatory units:
  • Understand statutory regulations and organisation safety requirements
  • Contribute to workplace organisation techniques
  • Understand continuous improvement techniques
  • Contribute to solving problems in a flow process.
