Focussing on the knowledge required to effectively monitor and evaluate the manufacturing process, on completion of this qualification learners will be able to contribute effectively to  manufacturing operations in their chosen industry.  This qualification also forms part of Level 2 (Intermediate) Improving Operational Performance apprenticeship framework (Performing Manufacturing Operations pathway).
Those who have recently started a role in manufacturing or those who would like to progress in their career.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You'll cover things like:

  • Manufacturing products
  • Testing and inspecting goods and activities
  • Health and safety
  • Problem-solving.

You will learn on the job in the work environment.

Assessment will also take place in the workplace and will consist of a mixture of assignments and externally set/internally marked short-answer questions.

This qualification can help you to progress in a range of manufacturing roles, including: Manufacturing operative or Manufacturing technician.

Learners can also go on to take the City & Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Manufacturing Operations (7585-02).

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver this qualification you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.
