City & Guilds has made the decision to not extend Media, Sound and Music qualifications any further than their current end date. They will remain open to certifications from 1-3 years depending on the level.

These Sound Recording, Engineering and Studio Facilities (NVQ) qualifications were designed in joint collaboration with music industry experts and supported by J.A.M.E.S (Joint Audio Media Education Services) Creative and Cultural Skills, MPG, UK MUSIC and APRS. They will give you the practical skills and knowledge needed to work in the current music industry. Highly current and relevant, these qualifications are well-respected in the UK and internationally.
These qualifications form part of the new Level 2 and 3 Sound Recording, Engineering and Studio Facilities Apprenticeship where Sound Engineering and Music Technology (7603) is the technical certificate requirement.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

These qualifications cover a diverse range of skills needed in this sector from Health and Safety to costing and designing the layout of a recording studio and produce surround sound for film and audio. There is an extensive array of units available to suit all areas and specialisms, please refer to the handbook for further details.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?
