The Award in Security Operations is a learning programme designed to support the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of Security Officers.
The qualification is suitable for security officers who have completed a level 2 qualification such as the Level 2 Certificate for Security Guards and wish to progress to develop a more specialised understanding of security operations. It is also suitable for existing or aspiring security supervisors.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You will cover:

  • Health and Safety Operations and Management
  • Physical security
  • Personnel security
  • Private security and law.

You will learn in a classroom environment or via long distance learning with access to learning materials from Skills for Security.

You will be assessed by online multiple-choice e-assessment for 4 units (4 examinations).

You are already working or aspiring to be a Security Supervisor and want to develop a more specialised understanding.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

Whilst studying for this qualification and/or on completion of it, you will have the skills to work in a range of jobs such as security officers and security supervisors.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver this qualification you will need qualified assessors.  You can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to enable learners to achieve industry standards.
