Training leading to the licence-linked door security qualifications must be delivered over a minimum of FOUR days.
Physical skills training must take place in safe conditions with a maximum ratio of 12 learners to 1 trainer.
Learners are assessed using multiple-choice examinations and practical demonstrations and assignments. Learning is through practical sessions in a group environment.
In order to offer this qualification, organisations which are not already City & Guilds centres must apply for centre and qualification approval. Existing City & Guilds centres will only need to apply for qualification approval.
To find all the resource requirements, download the qualification handbook from the centre documents section. Centres should also refer to the Security Industry Authority Assessment Strategy available on their website. This contains important information about delivery requirements.
