General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You will develop and demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills in physical intervention.

You will learn in a suitably equipped training room and complete assignments for assessment.

Level 3 is ideal if you are working as a trainer or teacher in the security industry and already hold a teaching and a conflict management qualification at Level 3.

What Careers Can This Lead To?

This qualification will help you to become a physical intervention trainer.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

You will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.  You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

To be eligible, you must be aged over 18 and hold:

  • a teaching or training qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS or a suitable equivalent)
  • a qualification in the delivery of conflict management training on a framework at Level 3.

Level 3

This will suit you if you are working as a trainer or teacher in the security industry and already hold a teaching and a conflict management qualification at Level 3.

There are two mandatory units:

  • Physical intervention skills for the private security industry
  • Delivering physical intervention training.
