The qualification has been designed to form part of a technical certificate or as a standalone qualification.
It enables learners to
  • apply underlying concepts and principles of their area of study to address an identified workplace problem or issue
  • evaluate different approaches to the problem or issue identified
  • initiate and use strategies to address an identified workplace issue
  • demonstrate effective and appropriate communication skills.

This is a single unit qualification aimed at learners wishing to study and progress through updating and continuing their professional development. Learners will

  • update knowledge and/or skills relating to technical, process or best practice changes / requirements, and
  • develop knowledge and/or skills in order to gain recognition at a higher level or a different role.
