This qualification was created to support the development and raise the awareness of issues concerned with equality & diversity.
The learner is encouraged to consider the issues surrounding equality & diversity in society, their community and in the work place.
The qualification is designed for adult and young learners pre – 16 and older.
It is for those in work or looking to secure employment, or those looking to improve their understanding of equality & diversity as part of a learning / induction programme.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Candidates usually learn in a classroom environment, however some units may involve a workshop environment or actually going into a work place.
A candidate can expect to be assessed by a mix of portfolio of evidence, practical demonstration, assignment and / or task-based controlled assessment.

Gaining awareness of issues surrounding equality and diversity would benefit and improve the employability of an individual in any profession.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

The qualification is taught in a classroom environment, however occasionally learners may need to be taught in a work style environment or in a work place itself.

You will also need suitably qualified assessors.
No specific resources are needed for these qualifications.

There will be automatic approval for centres with existing approval to deliver 5546, 7591 or 3807.
All other centres must follow the standard Qualification Approval Process.
