These qualifications are aimed at anyone who would like to gain the skills and knowledge required to start a career in the automotive vehicle parts or vehicle sales sector. 

Taking up our vehicle parts qualifications you will learn how to ensure that the right stock of vehicle parts is available when and where it is needed by customers and at the lowest cost.

Taking up our vehicle sales qualifications you will learn how to sell new and used vehicles.

These qualifications are aimed at anyone interested in starting or developing a career in the automotive vehicle parts or vehicle sales sector. You do not need any previous experience or need to be in a current work placement. Most of the time these qualifications are taught in a college or training provider and learning is by doing rather than writing lots of notes.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Upon completion of the vehicle parts qualifications you will know how to: help customers to order the correct vehicle part, pack and load parts, monitor stock levels and raise invoices for parts sold.

Upon completion of the vehicle sales qualifications you will know how to: inspect and sell new and used vehicles, process orders, arrange test drives and plan and monitor sales targets.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Anyone can take this qualification, but you must make sure all your learners can access the resources they need to complete it.

 

Level 2

Although some learners may already have had some exposure to the motor vehicle industry via previous training or some practical experience, it is not necessary to hold any previous qualifications or being in a current work placement. What Careers Can This Lead To?
 
Upon completion, the following progression opportunities available:  Further training: by moving into the Level 3 qualification.  Into employment – by taking up a Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts to become a Parts Advisor on in Vehicle Sales to become a Sales Advisor.

What Careers Can This Lead To?
Candidates who are successful will have the following progression opportunities available:

Further training: learners who enjoy leading teams of people at work could move onto a qualification as a Team Leader or Supervisor such as qualifications at Levels 2, 3 and 4 through ILM.

Into employment – by taking up either a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Parts to become a Parts Sales Representative or a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Vehicle Sales to become a Senior Sales Advisor.

In addition, they could also set up their own business.
