Online testing for level 1-2 tests

City & Guilds has been offering online (on-screen) level 1-2 adult numeracy/literacy and key skills national tests since June 2003. The tests are delivered via our Global Online Assessment (GOLA) system.

What are the benefits of online testing?

On-demand
Tests can be scheduled for any time on any day (provided the candidate has already been registered). They can be taken with as little as 24 hours' notice.

Instant feedback
Provisional results are available as soon as the test has been completed. This increases the appeal to candidates and helps reduce the anxiety of waiting for results. You will also know straightaway whether candidates need to resit.

Cost efficient
Not only is online testing cheaper than paper-based, it also reduces your administration time and paperwork.

No charge when candidates are absent
You will only be charged when the candidate actually turns up and sits the test. Any test can be taken up to an hour before or up to four hours from the time it is requested for.
