City & Guilds Workplace Skills is a unique learning package that helps 14-19 year olds develop the right attitudes, ‘soft’ skills and behaviours to succeed in the work environment.
It was developed as part of City & Guilds TechBac, which is a new way of learning that combines our Workplace Skills package with a City & Guilds Technical Qualification to improve young people’s work readiness.
City & Guilds Workplace Skills is unique because it helps learners to acquire these crucial ‘soft’ skills, which are not covered by qualifications alone, and showcases them online to potential employers.
It's been designed to meet the latest delivery requirements, including the new Ofsted Common Inspection Framework, and recommendations for digital delivery as set out by the Further Education Learning Technology Action Group (FELTAG).
It can also be used alongside other qualifications and courses, to enhance individual programmes of study and to support employability training.

What are the benefits?
City & Guilds Workplace Skills has been developed with employers to identify and address the key attributes and behaviours that are lacking from young people in the workplace.
It is unique in the way that it helps to develop, recognise and showcase these ‘soft’ skills, which aren’t covered by qualifications alone, or accredited under a current programme of study.
