Walled Garden
The Walled Garden is a free online administration service. It has been especially developed to enable City & Guilds centres to carry out a range of day-to-day functions quickly and efficiently via the internet. It is the preferred method of registering and administering candidates and requires authorisation from your Head of Centre to set up a user account.
Once you register with the Walled Garden you will benefit from an advanced customer-friendly facility that offers all the secure, services you need - 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Walled Garden provides you with:
Flexibility
- 'Cohort' management - customers can group candidates together for ordering
- Consolidated invoicing and ability to change frequency of billing
- Greater flexibility for delivering materials to multiple addresses and secure addresses for examination.
Ease of use and practicality
- User friendly screens - consistent for all order types including publications
- New candidate enrolment numbers created straight away
- Amend candidate details online
- Consistent display of product information - always online and up-to-date
- More information online, less paper
- Less reliance on contact centre with increased self service
- Able to register up to 1000 candidates in one order (current system only allows nine at a time).
Increased visibility of information
- Numerous online reports including order information, financial information and results information
- Improved order tracking. eg. online tracking of deliveries via link to DHL (couriers)
- Reduced paper 'mountain'. eg. nominal roll reports will be provided online for most customers
- More consistent outputs, terminology and forms for ease of understanding.
