At this event, Sharon Frazer, City & Guilds’ Learning, Assessment, Design & Practice Manager, facilitated two successful workshops on delivering high quality apprenticeships, focusing on learning provider considerations of synoptic assessment. The event also provided City & Guilds an opportunity to present to AELP members their response to the Apprenticeship reforms. 

National Conference, June 2014

In June, we participated in the National Conference where we launched Grow Your Business.

Kirstie Donnelly,UK Managing Director at City & Guilds, gave a speech on maths and English reform, giving City & Guilds’ view on the implications the introduction of the new GCSE English and Mathematics qualifications will bring to Independent Training Providers.

Headline Sponsors of the 2020 Vision Conference & Debate, February 2015

Experts from the sector shared their vision of what a skills landscape would look like in 2020. They included Professor Bill Lucas from the Centre for Real World Learning at the University of Winchester who spoke about how teaching and learning needs to change in the delivery of Apprenticeships. You can find out more in report  ‘Remaking Apprenticeships‘ that he co-authored, and which is the first in a series of reports to be published by the City & Guilds  Alliance.
