Our Level 3 Core Maths qualification comes complete with comprehensive support to help delivery and implementation from September 2015.
Support materials are available now and we will be adding to these as more content is developed.
Starting points for delivery
This guidance document introduces the structure of the qualification and how it relates to real world activities.
Whilst the qualification is focused on three main areas (modelling, comprehension and communication), teaching should be structured around substantial tasks with scope to draw on and develop understanding and confidence in all three areas.
As a way into this approach, we present three example contexts, each followed by task ideas involving further exploration and development of the relevant maths.
The starting points for delivery is available now and can be found on the qualification page under ‘Centre documents.’
This tutor guidance document includes example activities to form the basis of sequences of lessons. Three example activities are available now, with more to follow.
Teacher guidance can be found on the qualification page under ‘Centre documents.’
One sample paper is currently available, with two more to follow. In addition, we will be adding a set of annotated worked example scripts to further support exam preparation.
Sample papers can be found on the qualification page under ‘Assessment materials.'
Scheme of work
A detailed scheme of work will be available on the qualification page from July 2015.
Support and CPD events
We will be running a programme of support and CPD events throughout 2015 and 2016. More information to follow soon.
