We are pleased to announce that our new Employability Skills (5546) qualifications are now open for registrations.

The new qualifications are designed to support individuals in learning and developing the key skills, qualities and attitudes required by all employers. 

The qualifications:

  • are easy to understand, simple and flexible to deliver
  • offer straightforward, reliable and pain free administration
  • are supported with advice and expertise from dedicated City & Guilds advisors and Qualification Consultants
  • are value for money
  • are supported by a full range of support materials and online tools

New Free Employability Practitioner CPD academy available

City & Guilds is proud to announce a new CPD academy for those wanting to showcase their understanding of how to embed employability in the Further Education sector. City & Guilds have built this free resource with the Open Badge Academy (OBA).

The Employability Practitioner CPD Academy is supported through digital credentials and aligned to the recent ‘Learning to be employable’ report produced by Bill Lucas with City & Guilds.

The 4 credentials, Engage, Embark, Embed and Excel, total 19 hours of CPD, and are ideal for those who wish to gain professional recognition for cultivating the employability skills of the students they work with.

Our work ready offer

Employability and personal development qualification - providing skills such as CV writing, preparing for employment and enterprise. It also includes units on Work Experience.

Unit warehouse - a range of 160 free standing vocational units in multiple industries including retail, hospitality, contact centres and management.

Short courses and vocational skills - we offer the widest range of short courses and vocational qualifications to develop key skills for work.

Skills for working life - provides the personal and work-related skills that could enable you to progress into further learning or supported employment, or enhance your independent living skills.

Unit Planner

Our new unit planner helps you to select units within our Employability and Personal Development (7546) qualification.

New Employability e-learning

Our ‘Getting a Job’ e-learning programme will support learners in their primary aim – finding and keeping a job. It has been developed in response to the changing needs that learners have on their journey to becoming ready for employment. Tutors, and others, delivering employability skills courses will find it an invaluable aid to creating a relevant and engaging experience for learners.
