Health and Social Care Assistant

A career in this field gives you the opportunity to help, support and empower people who are receiving some form of care, whether they are unwell, elderly or have mental health problems. The range of job roles and circumstances in which you could work is vast: from children's homes or care homes, to hospitals, to working as a community support worker.
Your duties will depend on your job, but could include anything from assisting an individual in taking medication to working with an individual's family to support their care needs.
Health and Social Care Qualifications
The fact that health and social care services for adults and children are highly regulated now means that you need to have the right qualification if you are working in someone's home or in a residential or day care setting.
