2022 Adaptations
This page was last updated February 2022
We are working closely with education providers, employers and governments on assessment arrangements for 2022.
We appreciate that as your situation changes you will have many questions and concerns on delivery and supporting your learners and apprentices. From Technical Qualifications to Functional Skills and VRQs, we will continue to offer guidance and support with the new alternative assessment arrangements for 2022 where these apply.
Update – remote assessment centre guide
We have updated our Vocational Qualifications 2021-2022 adaptation sector guides with links to our new ‘Remote Assessment Centre Guide’.
The updated adaptation sector guides are available below. Centres should review regularly for updates, which will be clearly stated in the version control table inside the front cover of each guide.
The new ‘Remote Assessment Centre Guide’ can be found in our ‘Centre Document Library’, under the ‘Quality Assurance’ tab.
All centres delivering City & Guilds vocational assessments should be familiar with the requirements of remote assessment, where it is a permitted adaptation published in the 2021-2022 sector guides. Remote assessment must not be used where it is not stated as an permitted adaptation.
