Angela Wheat


I have been in the beauty industry since 1977 (40 Years) training initially as a beauty therapist and electrologist, specialising in electrolysis with the Institute of Electrolysis in1979 after passing the Diploma in remedial electrolysis.

I have been able to maintain my passion and skills through constantly undertaking continuous professional development (CPD) with both industry and medical professionals. I love learning something new or just refreshing my knowledge, I am also a qualified teacher and holistic therapist.

I have had a full and varied career within the Beauty Therapy Industry working as therapist, College lecturer, examiner, consultant for City and Guilds, published author, salon manager, beauty expert for a local radio station, appeared in a TV documentary on channel 4, worked on the NHS Gender Identity Service CRG, Depilation Sub Committee regarding hair removal treatments for transgender patient’s pre-and post- surgery, NHs service provider for electrolysis and presently I am a salon owner.

I am an active member of the Board British Institute Association of Electrolysis & held the post of Chair between 2012 and 2015. I currently examine and teach courses for the British Institute Association of Electrolysis. I have been on the National Advisory Board for Beauty therapy for a number of years.

I am also a multi award winning therapist having won the FHT National Excellence Award for Beauty Therapist of the Year in October 2016 plus two regional awards for beauty therapy and outstanding contribution to the Health and Beauty Industry in June 2016.

I was made a fellow by the FHT the largest Professional Association of Therapists in the UK and Eire in 2017 as a mark of distinction to show that I had attained the highest standards of expertise , achievement and success.

I currently run my own successful beauty business & feel blessed to have a career which I thoroughly enjoy.
