Clinical Skills (3051)

Last Updated: 25 Jan 2021
The roles of healthcare assistants and domiciliary care workers, based in either community, residential or NHS settings, are under constant review. Increasingly these workers will be required to undertake more basic clinical tasks when they support service users in their nursing homes, supported living communities and in their own homes.

With a growing elderly population and and expected increased demand for services to work more collaboratively in health and social care to support the basic clinical needs of service users, workers in health, social care and domiciliary services will need to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to undertake clinical tasks to support other registered healthcare professionals.
