What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You can choose the qualification that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed, such as:

  • Professional cookery
  • Hospitality services
  • Food and beverage service

You will learn on the job in the work environment or in a suitable college environment.

Assessment will include a portfolio of evidence.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors - you can train internal members of staff or recruit specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

There are no eligibility requirements, although learners may be expected to be over a stated minimum age (16 or 17 years old).

SCQF 4

This level will suit you if you have little or no experience of working in hospitality and catering and want to develop some basic skills and knowledge, as well as get an understanding of the industry.
