The Level 2 Award in Food Allergens has been developed to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding required to identify, manage and control food allergen risks in a food business. It supports individuals working in hospitality, catering, retail, education and other food service environments to understand their legal responsibilities and implement safe working practices that help protect consumers.
This qualification is knowledge based, enabling learners to recognise allergen risks, communicate accurate allergen information, prevent cross-contamination and respond appropriately should an allergen incident occur.
