What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Learners will need to complete the six mandatory units:
  • Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health
  • Principles of exercise, fitness and health
  • Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
  • Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
  • Programming a Pilates Teaching Session
  • Delivering a Pilates Teaching Session

What Careers Can This Lead To?

Successful candidates can become qualified Pilates Teachers.
Candidates wishing to further their learning can also progress onto the City & Guilds Personal Trainer apprenticeship

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?


To deliver these qualifications you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment. The qualification will only be delivered in disciplines where tutors have the appropriate discipline specific competence and qualifications.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

The qualifications are assessed via a combination of online multiple-choice tests, assignments and learners producing a portfolio of evidence.

Level 3

Level 3 is ideal if you're interested in working as a Pilates Instructor in the sport and recreation industry and need to develop the skills to do so.

You complete six core units from a range:
 

  • Anatomy and physiology for exercise and health
  • Principles of exercise, fitness and health
  • Health, safety and welfare in a fitness environment
  • Know how to support clients who take part in exercise and physical activity
  • Programming a Pilates Teaching Session
  • Delivering a Pilates Teaching Session

What Careers Can This Lead To?

Successful candidates can become qualified Pilates Teachers.

Candidates wishing to further their learning can also progress onto the City & Guilds Advanced Fitness apprenticeship.
