Bee Hurd

“I can be talking about anything from tractors and chainsaws to veterinary nursing and dog grooming and all aspects of anything else in between.”

Technical Advisor for Land and Animal

After completing her degree in Biochemistry and Agriculture, Bee has been involved in a number of roles including qualified riding instructor, grooming at national level and lecturing on multiple disciplines in a rural training centre for people with learning difficulties. As the centre converted into a college, she became Head of Education and completed her Masters in Education.

Bee looks after the land-based sector which is massively diverse. She advises on qualifications available, curriculum planning, delivery and assessment methodology and facilitates bespoke training on the issues arising from these activities. She still has an active role within quality, providing quality assurance on a range of qualifications across the sector. Additionally, Bee supports internal teams with queries, concerns and anomalies.
