Since starting her career in 1978 as a hairdressing apprentice, Sarah has gained many achievements along the way and now holds 23 years experience spent in education, from a 45 year long career within the hair and beauty sector.

Prior to teaching, her practical industry experience was gained working at the highest level on cruise ships in the USA and as a Salon/Spa Manager in Bermuda, with responsibility for 12 luxury 5-star facilities, catering to clients with the highest expectations. She has significant experience in the hair, beauty, and spa sector and associated therapy industries around the world, both in business and academic institutions.

Sarah is also an ambassador for the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT)

Sarah’s role as a hair and beauty Technical Advisor is to provide support, advice, guidance and share her expert knowledge of City & Guilds products and services to providers and employers in the UK and nations.

Working with customers and stakeholders in a collaborative way, enables Sarah to contribute to the ongoing design and development of City & Guilds products and services on offer to all stakeholders.
