Become an apprentice

If you are 16+ and want to work for an employer, get on-the-job training and earn a wage at the same time, then an apprenticeship could be for you.

City & Guilds apprenticeships are training programmes where apprentices learn on-the-job. This means that you'll be working for a real employer as you learn the skills needed for that job role. As well as that, you'll be getting paid at the same time.

Apprenticeships are designed to give young people the real-world skills and recognised qualifications needed for a career. Apprenticeships also include off-the-job learning in a college or training centre.
