What work do we do with governments?

City & Guilds has been working with governments around the world to support the development and enhancement of national vocational education systems.

These partnerships focus on delivering products and services designed to equip individuals with the skills that employers are looking for, enabling learners to progress into a job or on to the next job.

We also work with regional and city governments, and government agencies.

What do we offer governments?

Our offer for governments can include qualifications and assessment services from our core portfolio or bespoke services tailored to meet the needs of individual countries.

For example, our Mathematics and English Skills qualifications are embedded in the state education system in Jamaica, enabling non-qualified secondary school leavers to gain certification and enter the job market or tertiary education. In Saudi Arabia, we are involved in a multi-year reform programme of the local Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system, which aims to improve job prospects for young Saudis.
