The Personal Learning Record (PLR) application offers access to verified participation and achievement records of individual learners from when they were at school, college or a recognised further education training provider from 14+ years
The Learning Records Service shared services across the education sector. They issue Unique Learner Numbers (ULNs) and they also host the Personal Learning Record (PLR).
A Unique Learner Number (ULN) is a 10-digit reference number that may be allocated to learners over the age of 14 involved in English education or training.
DAS enables a school, college or awarding organisation to share data and monitor students' progress towards achieving their Diplomas. The system aggregates the results of constituent qualifications to produce final Diploma grades. As of 30/09/13 the DAS will no longer be in use.
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) consists of AQA, City & Guilds, CCEA, Edexcel, OCR, SQA and WJEC, the seven largest providers of qualifications in the UK, offering many types of qualifications, including GCSE,GCE, Scottish Highers, Welsh Baccalaureate, Functional Skills, Entry Level, Vocational and vocationally-related qualifications.
