Electrotechnical Craft (2365)

These qualifications are designed for those who wish to learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the electrotechnology sector.

They can be used as a foundation to progress onto further qualifications which lead to becoming a fully qualified electrician; such as the Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Technology (2357) or the Level 3 Electrotechnical apprenticeship qualification (5357-03). 
The Level 2 qualification is designed for new entrants to the industry, providing them with the basic skills and experience they need.

The Level 3 qualification is aimed at those who have already completed the Level 2 qualification or with some relevant experience and knowledge of the industry.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?
The qualification covers many areas within Electro technical technology, units such as principles of electrical science, electrical installations technology and health and safety within Building Services Engineering.

Candidates will be assessed by on-demand multiple choice tests (available through the City & Guilds assessment platform e-volve) and practical assignments.
What Careers Can This Lead To?
Our qualifications can lead directly into employment, offering learners the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to a high
standard recognised by the industry. Learners may also progress from the Level 2 qualifications straight through to Level 3.
In addition, we also have a number of Higher Level qualifications offered through ILM.
What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?
To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors and suitable facilities.  The requirements for these can be found in the qualification handbook. 

Level 2

This Level 2 certificate will suit you if you want to learn the basics of electrotechnical principles and practice to help start off your career
What Careers Can This Lead To?

On successful completion this qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to further progress your learning within the electrical industry, such as the level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or an Electrotechnical Apprenticeship.
